Welcome all to the new digs. Just like the previous ones, this thread will be used to track the Raptors' salary commitments and other assets, as well as track the specifics of trades and other transactions.

This is also a catch all thread for questions about trade rules, free agency rules, and everything else CBA related.

Salaries leading up to the draft:

2014-15:
Kyle Lowry $12,000,000
DeMar DeRozan $10,100,000 (incl 600k likely incentive)
Amir Johnson $7,000,000 (fully guaranteed, excludes 50k unlikely incentive)
Greivis Vasquez $6,400,000
Landry Fields $6,250,000
Chuck Hayes $5,958,750
Patrick Patterson $5,831,326
Lou Williams $5,450,000
Jonas Valanciunas $3,678,360
Tyler Hansbrough $3,326,235
Terrence Ross $2,793,960
James Johnson $2,500,000
Lucas (BeBe) Nogueira $1,762,680
Bruno Caboclo $1,458,360
Greg Stiemsma $915,243 (actual pay $948,163, fully guaranteed)
Marcus Camby $646,609 (buyout)
Jordan Hamilton $25,000 (buyout)
Will Cherry $25,000 (buyout)

Above roster: $76,171,523

Cap: 63.035 M
Tax: 76.829 M
Apron/Hard Cap: 80.829 M

Note: we are now sitting on 2 different TPE's. The one from the Novak deal ($3.44M) and the one generated in the Salmons-for-Williams deal ($2.35M). These both expire after the draft (one on the 30th, one on the 10th of July), so can be used in any trades over the next few weeks.

As for this coming summer:

2015-16:
Kyle Lowry $12,000,000
DeMar DeRozan $9,500,000 (not including 600k unlikely incentive)
Greivis Vasquez $6,600,000
Patrick Patterson $6,268,675
Jonas Valanciunas $4,660,482
Terrence Ross $3,553,917
James Johnson $2,500,000
Lucas (BeBe) Nogueira $1,842,000
Bruno Caboclo $1,524,000

Cap holds:
Amir Johnson $10,500,000
Landry Fields $9,375,000
Chuck Hayes $8,938,125
Lou Williams $8,175,000
Tyler Hansbrough $4,324,106
Nando de Colo $1,901,900 (cap hold; $1,828,750 QO)
1st Round Pick (20th) $1,257,800
Greg Stiemsma $947,276

Above roster, with only the 1st rounder kept: $50,757,060

Projected:
Cap: 67.1 M
Tax: 81.6 M
Apron/Hard Cap: 85.6 M

So that's 16.35M in cap room if we let everybody walk. Probably enough to chase a Millsap level player, or make a max offer on a RFA. But it means filling 2 to 4 roster spots with the Room MLE and minimum salaries, including backup C and another wing player, depending on how ready you think BeBe or Bruno are.

Cap room jumps to 22.4M or so with the Vasquez deal.  What will Masai do with it?

Strike out repeatedly in trying to get big name guys and then be forced to overpay for lesser talent. [um4_zpsb3e12a24]

I think the plan is now a max offer for Tobias Harris (since Middleton/Green would be matched) and the rest to Corey Joseph.

I think he makes a multiple player trade where we absorb a chunk of salary (8-10mil) then sign Joseph. Either that or really go after Harris with a Max offer.

We're definitely going to be overpaying. I just hope it's towards someone good.

i really hope we don't go after harris with a max offer, that would make no sense, the guy isn't worth the max.
he is no all star, he don't produce at high level. i don't want a big bad contract ala Gay.
masai is smarter than that, i hope !

50.7M - 6.6M = 43.1M
67.1M - 43.1M = 24M in capspace, no ?

50.7 - 6.6 = 44.1

44.1 + 0.5 (roster slot cap hold) = 44.6

67.1 - 44.6 = 22.4 (rounding makes it look like 22.5)

And Harris is all upside. He's younger than Ross. And is far better. And compares favourably to some star players. His impact numbers are poor, but like I said it's about the upside - he certainly can improve. Ideally you nab a Middleton instead, but I don't think that's a possibility.

DeMarre Carroll could be an option if Harris doesn't sign but I'd prefer Tobias.

really hope we go after tobias and Cojo, then see if we can  package ross with something to get someone like Jones.

Lowry/Cojo
Demar
Harris
Jones
Val

Pretty decent I think. Still need a star though

I'd love Jones and if Houston is wanting cap space - I believe we could use the exception and one of the 1st's that we have to get him.
