Many predicted it. Same thing happened last season when he went down.

I don't know if it would of made a difference if Giannis was playing.
Wizards were dropping three's like crazy at the end of the 4th.
Pretty much sealed the game.

They won the 4th quarter by 4pts, I think Giannis would have made a difference. Was a close game. Washington don't win imo with GA in the lineup

Yeah, and Beal went crazy that time too. Which is why I was surprised people were so anti siakam for beal, at least in terms of short term benefits. Maybe in 3 years siakam will.be better, and he's a heck of a player now and would be missed. But Beal is a clear all star who was being brought down by the wall debacle.

Now that he's free, he's putting some monster games, including that 40 points triple double earlier against Phoenix.

While I agree that long term it's debatable if Beal would make us better, I think he would extremely valuable in the playoffs with his shot creation and elite shooting.

I agree about Giannis.

But there is another problem for the Bucks that has been present for this first half of season - they allow the most 3PT attempts per game 35.8, teams shoot fifth highest 3PT% against them 36.6% and they allow the most 3PT shot makes per game 13.1. In other words, they are really really bad at guarding the three. So Wizards shooting 18/33 from three is no accident nor just a hot night. It is result of their scheme and their personnel's ability. Last year, they had similar numbers. Of course, everyone was blaming Kidd and his scheme that gave up a ton of wide open corner threes but, as we can see, that was only part of the problem.

@BlakeMurphyODC
Fred VanVleet is questionable for tomorrow with a hip contusion. C.J. Miles is doubtful. Raptors have Jordan Loyd with them as additional depth, no Chris Boucher (905).

In today’s NBA you can’t trade a Siakam. Just nuts. You could consider it if you had no other stars, But we have Kawhi. And I get the idea is to keep Kawhi by showing him there is a willingness to get more stars, but Kawhi surely knows the value of Pascal. And that value is higher than Beal right now, and it’s not even really debatable for anyone seeing all that Pascal does.

I don't know man, I really, really like siakam and I fully appreciate what he does and what he will be doing in the future. It would almost literally break my heart to see him go, and I will always be a huge fan of him.

But the NBA playoffs are,and always have been, about stars, and Siakam is not a star right now, Beal is. Beal will make it impossible to really double kawhi, siakam does not. I guarantee you that there will be a point in the playoffs where you will wish you had a guy like Beal on the team. And the combination of OG and Beal gives you everything siakam gives you and more.

But, I get it - I am 100% happy to keep the team as it is, and let the chips fall where they may. I will definitely enjoy next season more if kawhi leaves and we're left with pascal instead of Beal, even though a Beal team would be better (imo).

Still, I believe that Beal would make the team better this season, especially deep in the playoffs. Not significantly better, but it would be pretty much the only avenue to really upgrade us.

I don't think the wizards give up beal without both OG and Siakam. And that's just too much man.

I would consider a package surrounding OG and parts for Beal, even though that makes me very sad.

Honestly PS cannot be given up for anything less than a substantial return. I might consider a Siakim plus Powell and M Richardson for Anthony Davis, and 2019 first round pick.

AD is 25. Siakam is 24. Just 13 months younger. If you can get AD you get AD. But if you are giving up Siakam, you better make sure you study the shit out of AD's health records and they are good and that he'll re-sign with you.

Pascal is our glue. That is craziness. We get worse this year and long term cap fucked with a 3rd tier star like Beal.
