If you are a fan of N.W.A. you will like this movie. In some spots it felt a little rushed when discussing the events that occurred through the members lives, but I expected that to happen because the movie is covering over 10+ years of their careers. Overall, I'd give it 7.5/10

New Mission Impossible was pretty good.  Solid action movie, fun.

Pixels was not as terrible as I expected.  Thought it would be a total bomb, more like a typical bad Sandler comedy.

A beast of a movie and one I'd recommend is "Straight Outta Compton" - 8/10

It Follows- 6.5/10. Pretty good for a horror movie, since most horror movies are awful.

Little known movie with a cult following that I really enjoyed was The Guest. It's a must watch if you're into mystery/action type of movies.

Loved this, I think they did a great job casting it. I can't believe they were able to fit 2pac in there. That guy needs to have his own movie..

I watched The Black Stallion with my kids - great movie.  Kids were glued to the TV for the first act where there was pretty much no talking - they seemed to be less interested during the second act when he's learning to race the horse.

I just watched Drive, He Said - Jack Nicholson's directorial debut from 1970. It's about hippies and basketball. It's got moments, but mostly is interesting for those involved. Robert Townes acts in it - he would later write Chinatown which Jack was in of course. Paul Schrader was also said to be involved as a writer in this, though uncredited. Henry Jaglom is an actor in this as well, and he directed Jack in A Safe Place among many other things. Bruce Dern plays the coach. And Karen Black is terrific. It's very dated, but that ends up being what makes it most watchable in the end.

Finally got around to seeing Mr Turner. Mike Leigh is incredible. His body of work might be in my top five if i really think about it. This is the best film i watched in the last couple of years or more. Incredible cinematography and acting transported me back to the dawn of the industrial era, and into the mind of the artist. Very much an experiential thing, with some pretty slow pacing, but incredibly rewarding if you can allow yourself to get pulled into it for 2.5 hours.

Good Kill

Movie about U.S. Air Force drone pilots operating in the wars for the Middle East.

The movie itself is OK. The bombing scenes are done very well. But the movie makes these UAV pilots and their crews act like total weenies. Questioning every order, concerned about innocent lives. It makes American drone pilots look feeble and weak. That is not how things operate. If you even hinted at questioning a direct order, you would be tossed from your pilot's chair immediately. And I have seen and heard real Drone footage on American attacks with UAV's. Those guys did not sound like it was a disturbing and unfortunate incident. They were having fun shooting and killing people.

'Merica

I'd give the movie a B for effects, and a F for making the Air Force look wimpy.

Overall a C-
