I would take a look at Marshon Brooks instead of Ben...

To clarify this after the fact, because the Gasol deal only went through the day of the Knicks game, they had until the next game to get roster compliant.

They've since added two players (they only had to add one) so they are compliant now. The last two spots will almost certainly go to 10-day guys (one of which being McLemore) to bridge the gap to March 1, or at least until they see a guy they like a lot enter the buyout market.

Should we be mentally prepared that this team, constructed as is, has all of their go-to contributors on roster already?

It's very likely. They may be lucky enough for one guy they think is a rotation player to get bought out, and then use their tax-MLE to try to win the bidding war that presumably would ensue for the services of such a player. That's surely what Masai is hoping for. But they have no control over that, so their targets just may not get bought out, or choose somewhere with more money or minutes to offer.

With Lin added, they will likely have only one spot left to fill. Let's see who might become available...

I would guess they're interested in a big man, one that can play the 4 or 5. Hopefully Morris gets a clean bill of health and is interested in coming to Toronto. He would be a terrific fit in Toronto IMO.

There were some CBA complications that prevented the signing of Ben McLemore to a 10-day contract over the weekend, as planned. It sounds like that deal has fallen through since. Raptors have to add 1 more player but I'd imagine they're looking at bigs.

it was all weird having a former lottery pick on the team.  had to bail on that signing.  lin makes more sense...

LOL - I am sure there is an article in the CBA explicitly prohibiting Canadian franchises from featuring any lottery picks during the playoffs. 😋

So adding Lin/Miller/Boucher that has us at 13 player?

12 for now, since Lin isn't signed yet. Correct?

Lowry- FVV- Lin
Green- Lin- Powell
Kawhi- Powell- OG
Siakam- OG- Boucher
Gasol- Ibaka- Boucher

I hope we still add a shooter, along with a big. One of Lopez, Morris, Kanter would be nice although Kanter and his passport/visa issues may keep him from coming here.

Miller could easily be the shooter you are looking for. And he can be easily integrated.

Fuck Kanter man. That’s just not happening.
