From the New York Daily News via ESPN...

The star forward was reportedly “devastated” by the news and called Kidd 15 minutes before his firing was made official and offered to try to save his job, according to ESPN.

“He called me and said, ‘Coach, this isn’t right what they’re about to do, but (they) are gonna let you go. ...What can I do? I’ll call the owners, I’ll call my agent,’” Kidd told ESPN.

Bucks running the risk of losing Giannis if this isnt handled right or if it doesnt lead to a turnaround.

This is a huge moment for that franchise going forward New arena, new coach next year and gotta keep Giannis engaged and happy. He really liked Kidd alot. Kidd was the one that made him PG again and held him accountable un his eyes.

GA will most likely have some input in the new coach and upcoming moves regarding players.  I would think the small market organization would have to or risk falling back into obscurity and bottom feeding misery.

TBH, I thought the Bucks were much better when the ball went through a pg with GA at the 3/4. At least prior years with suggest that's the case.  GA has no range and that has created some issues at that spot.  I would think they need a stretch 4/5 to pair with GA in the frontcourt.

I would think that GA was consulted/notified prior to the move and a blessing of some sort would have been given.  That's seems to be typical these days with players so young and uber talented - especially when he's an UFA in 2021.

If they did just fire him without notification it would seem unwise unless they feel they can right the ship over the next 3-1/2 years...that's a big gamble.

Hopefully he was a trade out and wants to come to Toronto 😉

Hate to say it but I think Stack would do extremely well as the HC of the Bucks.

I'd honestly like to see Stack as our HC someday...
