DeRozan led Toronto to a perfect 4-0 last week, averaging 26.8 points on 57.3 per cent shooting, while also collecting 7.3 rebounds and dishing out 6.0 assists per contest.

The Raptors faced a difficult back-to-back on the road in Houston and New Orleans, but came away with victories in both courtesy of some incredible offence. DeRozan was the chief orchestrator as they scored 129 and 125 points, respectively.

After defeating the New York Knicks easily, 107-84, DeRozan capped off the week with a team-high 33 points in a win over the Washington Wizards this past Sunday.

This marks the sixth time DeRozan has earned the honour during his nine seasons in Toronto.

Awesome! This one is for those who said he is not going to get any better.

It goes against any conventional logic for him to be making these kind of leaps at this stage of his career. What a stud Deebo is.

I wouldn't say he's progressed by leaps and bounds, more of an incremental course, where each season, with minor exceptions, he's gotten a little better.

I think his stats may be a little down this season, but he's clearly having his best season so far.

Averaging about one less minute a game this year and his usage rate is down.

PPG is down by 2, but his FG% is up (48.3% vs. 46.7%). He's taking 2 less shots a game. 3-PT% is up. FTAs are roughly the same (slightly lower by 0.6 a game). Rebounds are down by 1, but assists and steals are up.
