As much as this loss hurt I think the silver lining is that this team can play like complete dog shit and still have a chance to win against one of the best teams in the East.

What I find concerning about Lowry isn't necessarily his play, but that something's pretty obviously wrong with his body.  If he is hurt, and I think he is, I'd like to think they'd shut him down for a while so this doesn't become something that's long-term.  Nothing surprises me about the internet anymore but I'm pretty disappointed how many fans of this team are now dragging Lowry over the coals after saying he was the MVP a month ago.  Anyone who's watched any Raptors basketball over the past 4 years should know there's something off about Lowry and that his game didn't just fall off a cliff in the last two weeks.

There's just too many people there and just like in real life, the dumbest are the loudest.

Agreed with you. Rest the man.

I'd rather lose games without him, than lose games with him not being 100%.

I won't guess what's 'wrong' with Lowry, unless he says it from his mouth and his mouth only. What concerns me more however; then a possible physical injury, is a mental one. This is a narrative which has only recently been getting attention in the realm of professional sports and 'successful' people in general. We don't know if something has him shook...and I do not know how the contracts read as far as 'being diagnosed with a mental condition' and disclosure.

You would hope the Raptors have one of the best sports psychologists in the country, if not all of North America, on their payroll. That my friends, can be a battle that takes a lot longer to overcome then a sore back...

I guess the real question is what is off, physical or mental. Anybody who's watched raptors basketball over the last 6 years knows that lowry can be fragile at times.

It's pretty safe to say that if the issue was physical indeed, it's got to be something he's hiding from the team. Given how ultra-conservative we've been this season, there's no way we'd allow him to play hurt. It's also highly unlikely to be his back, it would have to be something that affects his shooting, but not his motion because he's been really good on defense last night, and he didn't seem to shy away from contact.

I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember a play a few games back when he was holding his hand after some contact, just can't recall if it was him or another player - but I think it was him.

I guess we'll never know, but until he's ok, it will be a struggle to win games against good competition and the timing is poor obviously. But it's only early December, and we still have a bit of a cushion. If we can come out of the west trip and still be on top, the schedule will get easier and we'll have a chance to consolidate the lead.
