SJ reminds me of the whole Fultz situation...high draft pick but ultimately struggled in the pros. Turned out it was all in his head. Once he got that part sorted, the game started coming to him. I believe our coaching staff can figure this out and turn him around over the summer!!

Nah, he's just horrible. He'll be out of the nba soon imo. Maybe he can go to Europe

Meh I'd give him another shot before officially calling it quits. He's got the potential.

He's 24 years old and he can't make simple basketball plays due to a lack of skill or smarts.

What potential am I missing?

He wasn't always playing this poorly though, averaged about 8pts, 4rbs, 2 assists, 1 steal in the limited time he played in his first few years. It's been a downward spiral from that point on. Why not give him one last shot? Maybe with the right individuals around him he'd finally make that jump.

Stanley Johnson called himself the best player in the draft when he was drafted. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if the still thinks that. He should leave the NBA ASAP.

Matt Thomas looks like an all-around solid basketball player. I look forward to seeing where he can get to next season and onwards. Such a contrast to Stanley. The guy gets fouled near the end and I’m like omg he’s going to score actual points in this game. Yeah - uh - no...

A Boucher vs Bol one on one game has to happen.

Really enjoyed the game.  The bench showed intensity that our starters frankly haven't consistently.
While Siakam continues to struggle with his shooting, I really like his increased intensity getting back and making some excellent defensive stops.
I'm surprised no one is mentioning Gasols struggles shooting from the 3 … if it was anyone else there would of been multiple comments.  We will need him to
consistently be a threat from 3 given he spends much of his time out there and is left alone.  I'm not worried about it, but yesterday would of been a good
opportunity to show some improvement.
I said it multiple times during the season that I would love to see Thomas become a quicker option off the bench.  Love this guys shooting, but he sees the
floor extremely well and is more than just a shooter.   Hopefully, with McCaw out Thomas gets some minutes once the playoffs start.  We don't have a
consistent 3 point shooter in our starting line-up.  They are all streaky …
I also won't be surprised to see Powell get some starting minutes in the right match-up in the playoffs .. it's a stretch but with 2 small PG's in the starting line
this could occur

Stanley has a player option for next year, so not only is he going to get another shot in the NBA, it will almost certainly be with the Raptors.

This DanH revers jinxing us, watch Masai trade him to the Knicks for a 2nd round pick.

That's not another shot, that's his last contract (his current contract). Another shot would be him signing another contract after his current contract is up in 2021.

Jeff, I know this is August when NBA talk is usually double dead and we get into these sort of things but this year is different.

It's still pretty dead between games.....and I stand by what I said. Him opting into his final year of his current contract isn't "another shot".

I believe he's lacking in this department, physically he's there, skill-wise is there; he just can't bring it all together.  SJ reminds me of the Kandiman - so much promise, so much fizzle. (Just an aside, what a #1 pick since Jamison, Carter, Dirk, Peirce, Bibby, even Raef came after).
