When it matters most (playoffs), it's not close. Kyrie easily.

Well, if he comes in a package with LeBron, yeah. We haven't seen him play in playoffs without LeBron.

Shit is debatable anyways. Irving is younger and has higher ceiling. He is also a ball hog and injury prone. He is far better scorer than Lowry but Lowry is superior defender, passer, play-maker and leader. So it ends up being a question of fit, roster age, window.

Irving is also another knee injury away from becoming Derrick Rose. I have a feeling his game won't age well.

I think he'll be fine and healthy, his injuries didn't seem huge like Rose's, he just misses parts of a season often. He is way better shooter than Rose and his handle is so good he'll always be able to be useful in more ways.

Just lost three in a row and still tied for the best record in the league. We need these next three games before the schedule turns for the worse.

well then, fun game down the strech, sucks kawaii didn't hit the game winner. Down green and OG it was tough going into OT. Oh well, I really hope Fred steps up soon, his shitty play is rubbing off on lowry lol

I'm not sure how you can make this comparison. Kyrie is arguably the most skilled offensive player in the NBA with his array of moves off the dribble and ability to shoot off of the dribble in any scenario. Rose excelled because he was maybe the most explosive guard ever. Kyrie's game will still age well despite injury because he's a very good shooter from all areas of the floor, and he's still a better point guard than Lowry. His ability to hit momentum changing shots and big shots in high pressure situations is what separates the two, even if Lowry is the better floor general and leader. Lowry couldnt do anything against Bostons physical defence.

I'm still not worried about the Celtics, for now anyway. We were short a bunch of our key players, then Green and Siakim fouling out just killed us. I do think that Nurse needs to experiment more with Siakim at center in these types of games where Serge isn't protecting the basket well enough, and his pick and roll coverage vs Irving in the 4th and OT was extremely weak.

Hopefully the bench can get back in a rhythm tomorrow in Chicago, as we're going to need them to step up big on a back to back with Kawhi likely out.

1-15 on threes from three of our better shooters in Lowry Van Vleet and Leonard is pretty tough to overcome. And yet they really should have. It took some crazy tough makes from Kyrie, some weird calls or non-calls and some dumb decisions to keep this from being a W. They competed in spite of a fair bit of crap.

I would like to see the defense look a lot more consistent at this point. It hasn’t been too impressive in the losses. They can get steals at a pretty good rate, but if they don’t there isn’t much locking in throughout possessions or take much of anything away from how good offenses are looking to operate. They’ll happily take whatever we give them.

Mostly everything needs to be tightened up. There is too much uncertainty, too much feeling out, too much individual play. Where are the cuts, the solid rotations, the executing as a team on both ends? It’s there to a degree, but not to the extent that there is a solid recognition of who they are together. So I’m looking forward to seeing that get fleshed out more and more.

In the meantime, maybe Kyle could take a little less in the way of pummelings. Guy has just been hammered the last couple of games.

We need better, more willing shooters. OG is getting there, but FVV and Wright have been too hesitant this year, and obviously FVV is injured so that isn't helping. Lowry has also been stifled during this losing streak. He needs to be much more aggressive throughout the course of the game leveraging his 3 point shot.

I  think we need a larger dose of Siakim in general as well. When the 3 pointers aren't falling, give him some looks on the pick and roll rather than making him a spot up shooter in the corner. I loved some of the Dirk like pick and rolls where Boston would switch a small onto him and Siakim would operate free throw line extended and abuse Irving. If they come to double, he's a very adept passer and that could help us open up our offence. Give Pascal the rock!

Now that we kinda need Kawhi vs Chicago tonight. I wonder if he ends up playing in his first back to back. He played 43 mins vs the Celtics. But, considering our mini slump, we need a win tonight.
