Late game and crossing the border last night. So pretty decent to get it done. I’m just getting beat down by the inability to hit open threes at a decent rate. If they could have just seen a few more drop they could have cruised. On top of that they missed so many freethrows. And they started the second half simply abandoning the paint. They looked like tired chuckers at that point, so a win seems pretty positive from that perspective. The 7 point possession that came on Boucher’s make plus the tech plus the flagrant plus Kyle’s three off the out of bounds play awarded via the flagrant 1 - well that certainly helped. CB25 breathed a bit of life into the game at a critical point. Nice to see, and he probably should have seen a few more minutes. McCaw on the other hand really sucked the life out of a game that was firmly under control in the first half. The dude shit his pants for 6 minutes. Hope we don’t see that again anytime soon.

Obviously disappointed that it took the final play to beat the11-34 Phoenix Suns at home, but on the bright side it was a good chance for us to be in a close game and practice late game execution without Kawhi. That being said, a dribble handoff at the top of the 3 point line; for Pascal for a straight line drive to the basket......won’t cut it for me. No ball screen, no off the ball action, not more than 1 pass, that’s what Nurse drew up. In the playoffs, or better yet, against any other team, that’s not getting it done and no way he gets a layup.

I know every team pretty much runs the same thing, but our offence looks too predictable. At times the lack of movement and passing is painful to watch. Not every team can be Golden State, but ISO ball and kick outs for 3 to a team that’s shooting 14 for 57 ( 25%) from that distance over the past 2 games won’t cut it. We need a shooter, and I know. It’s one game but Patrick McCaw is not that guy. In fact I think he may take crucial minutes away from Norm or C.J., which may prevent them from getting into any kind of rhythm.

On the positive, it was nice to see C.J. show signs of life and nice to be there when Kyle recorded his 5000th career assist.

Just like last game, who really cares if we won or lost, it”s all about improving for the playoffs; and right now, I think we have a long way to go.

Nice tank job by PHX to not just play off Siakim at the 3 point line with 4 seconds left on the clock.

Good play call by Nurse in that no one expected the play to happen. Hopefully our second best player, Mr. Siakim, gets an all star nod this year.

I love the little grin on Fred’s face when he came out of the huddle before the last play. He looked like he could barely contain his delight as though he knew the game was as good as over. Pocket aces? Nope - Spicy P!

I think Fred was the open man in the left corner as well. Probably would have been the second option.
