Jose still has Lowry's number. Would not have believed it. He is like 40 and has been a bench warmer for the whole season. [295zipg]

But actually nice to see him play well. That's about the only positive thing in this game.

I wonder if we should have just rested Lowry. Or at least Casey should have benched him for the last Q. He was bringing nothing (and his body language was horrible) and it would have been nice to see a rested and angry Kyle against the Celtics.

I also wonder if Casey is a genius and just hiding his hand by not adjusting to anything and making confusing rotation choices. Either that or he has fooled me for a season to think he has grown to be a great coach.

I think this team needs some sort of a mental coach (or if they have one, he should be fired). We are starting to mentally melt even before the playoffs have even begun. A lot of guys seem to be too tense to even hit the rim with their shots now that the games mean remotely anything. And then you got CJ Miles who is just broken.

Remember when two weeks back it looked like we had the first place locked and could just rest guys and prepare for playoffs. Oh the days.

Then again, maybe its just a funk and we come into playoffs like a storm (that would be new, but hey we have this culture change).

So hard to be Raps fan.

Been wondering the same thing for the last few days.
Do  coaches actually do this before starting playoffs?
He does have the luxury of using this strategy considering were we are in the standings. But it would be a big fail if we lost first seed because of this.

Even if that was true, tonight's game should be a must win. In what universe would keeping the top seed AND having Boston and Cleveland meet in the second round would not be a priority?

Yeah, there won't be too much holding back tonight, but it would probably still be optimal to get a big lead and hold it.

I share Rudy-T's sentiments regarding Jose, though probably not to the extent that you do Mike. It is anice way for him to finish up his career, and somewhere Raps123 was downing a mickey of bourbon and shouting “KEYS TO THE BUS JEFFREY” into the wind.

I'm sorry that he felt bullied that I called his take the worst in history, and joked about it on a message board, but when you make a scorching hot Skip Bayless esque take like that and you're NOT trolling, what are you really expecting? I joked about his state of mind at the time, I didn't make any personal attacks, nor did I break any board rules or I would have been warned.

You're right though, it IS a basketball messageboard, and just like when you talk with your friends at the gym, or talk ball in a group setting, if you have an opinion like Derozan>GA, then you should know that you're going to receive a strong push back from people who disagree with you, which will be anyone who isn't a Raptors homer who watched our series with the Bucks last year where Giannis almost single handedly beat us, or this year where he's taken his game to an even higher level than last year. We visit message boards to discuss and argue basketball topics. If you think my response was harsh, you should have seen the old raptors forums where people actually insulted others for their opinions. I was just going after his take, not him, so again, sorry if you felt bullied dude, but if you're going to post that kind of material, you better expect some backlash and counter arguments.

Raptors fans can't call other teams fans homers when you have posters who think that Demar is a better player than Giannis.

And Tommy, instead of going after my posting style, how about you try to back up your buddies claim and actually tell me how Demar is a better player than Giannis instead of playing backseat moderator?

And I am a cynical Raptors fan, so what? I think it's justified based on our history.

What is my opinion about DD better player than Giannis got to do with the style of your post?! I haven’t spent a single minute entertaining the idea. It’s not on the table and definitely not MU’s style. I don’t waste time on irrelevant shit.
And no dude, I’m not playing a backseat moderator but if you come here with a sense of entitlement don’t expect people to be cool about it.

this board has taken a real nosedive in the past month or so.

everyone's opinions (i have my own opinion on which side does it more, but yeah everyone's) exaggerated in response to the other side, personal attacks (maybe within board rules, but still personal,) ridiculing, arrogance, refusal to accept even a part of the other side's argument. "it's a message board, what do you expect??" I dunno, it was better like a month ago?! I expect that?! Defo better at the start of the season. People who've known each other for years not to be arseholes to each other??

Anyway, moan over. I've joined in now anyway! I tried to "moderate" an argument the other day, it didn't work, i had a few days out, came back and there was loads more of it; so if you can't gently persuade, join in the shit tossing, i guess. (or maybe have another few days off...)

Agreed. This place is pretty toxic nowadays, I would like to see members keep it civil.

Smells like a loss for some reason. I blame fans energy. This team needs a little proactive support and love. Constant doubt gets old.

You're telling me not to be mean to a message board poster about an opinion I vehemently disagree with, commented about being expecting more from me due to my made up title on a message board that was given to me because some people enjoyed my content, and critiqued my posting style. But sure, you don't waste your time on irrelevant shit.
