The Jays-Red Sox game has been postponed tonight.

In other news, the Jays acquired Taijuan Walker.

Nearly two weeks ago, I was critical of Vladimir Guerrero, Jr.'s slow start. Since then, he's been on a tear, and he's raised his OPS by nearly 300 points. He's now hitting .271/.344/.483 which is good for a .827 OPS. Over the last 15 days, he has .954 OPS, and the last 7 days his OPS is at 1.162. Another big positive takeaway is that is strikeouts are way down while his walks are up. He's actually walked more than he's struck out in the past week.

Randal Grichuk, Teoscar Hernandez, and Cavan Biggio are also swinging the bat very well while Lourdes Gurriel, Jr. is starting to get on track with the bat. Hopefully Bichette will return in the next couple of weeks, thus extending the Jays' lineup.

Taijuan Walker's Blue Jays debut also went way better than anyone could have hoped.

The trade deadline is tomorrow, and the Jays hopefully will be busy.

The Blue Jays are fun to watch. What a great, young core they have, and there's a second and third wave of talent coming over the next five years.

As someone who grew up on baseball, playing it at a pretty high level and watching it, I've lost interest in the last decade but it looks like they're turning a corner. I might have to start getting into watching them more.
