Powell's injuries have been more about bad luck than going hard. He is injury prone, though.

Most of the injuries seem more to do with the amount of basketball this team has played over the past six years. Other than GSW and Cleveland, the Raptors have played the most basketball games in that time span. Add in the World Championships, such was the case for Gasol, and age, injuries will happen. The only guy that injuries can be associated with the team's style is FVV, but he's been injury prone in his short career due to more his style of play than the team's style. He's a bulldog like Lowry, who is another guy with an extensive injury history.

Lowry has stayed fairly healthy since 2013-14:

Games played:

79
70
77
60
78
65
49 of 60 games so far

That's not bad considering the way he plays tbh and given his injury history prior to coming here.

Lowry has missed 74 games in 7+ seasons. That's about 10 games a year. He's had three years where he's been relatively healthy, but four years he's missed significant time due to injuries. He's injury prone because of his style of play plus the mileage creeping up, but there's no questioning his toughness. He probably could and should miss more time since he plays through numerous ailments during the season.

I don't find that all that injury prone these days. Hell,  some of the games he's missed were for rest the last couple years. Missing 10 games a season over the last 7yrs is pretty good tbh and seems to be mostly just wear and tear that you see most high usage players having......ie: turned ankle, busted finger type of shit. I think his biggest injury was his back in 2015. I actually thought that would be an issue for him  going forward from there. Back problems generally are an ongoing concern once you have that type of injury.

When someone says injury prone I think of guys like Cousins, Wall, Irving, Durant.

Lowry also had the major thumb injury, which he injured twice. His entire body has been beaten and battered. Sure, some missed games are due to rest, but that's only been the prior two seasons (not including this year). He's "injury prone" in the sense that he's pretty much guaranteed to miss games every year due to injury. His style of play makes him more susceptible to injury.

Meh, our two most injured players this season both play 27mpg. Combined they've missed almost 40 games.

A few of the injuries were contact injuries, Powell hurt his shoulder on a screen, I think one of Fred's injuries were on a screen too. Kyle's finger got hurt while poking for the ball, being his pesky self. Gasol's injuries were almost certainly related to the heavy workload over the past year.
