THE WASHINGTON BULLETS are YOUR 8TH SEED. They have royally collapsed down the stretch and have lost multiple games to sub .500 teams, lost an 17 point lead in Cleveland within minutes, and are integrating the Wall Star back in the fold.

Losers of 14 out of the last 21, it seems many of us are hoping for an embarassing exit to get Ernie Grunfeld fired. Some of us don't fear the Raptors because of the 2015 playoffs when the Bullets came in stumbling pathetically and then swept Toronto. The winner of this series gets King James and their season ended by his hands.

The Raptors have locked up homecourt throughout the East playoffs. They have their deepest roster. Plus their stars, Lowry and Derozan have facilitated a team playing with more ball movement and shot making from 3.

The elephant in the room for this series: John Wall has not played the Raptors this season.

Quote:
They can't beat us and Wall is about to show alot of people on this board again that he is superior to Lowry

Quote:
Paul Pierce on ESPN: 'My surprise team will be the Washington Wizards. I do believe they have what it takes... to advance out of the first round against the No. 1 seed Toronto Raptors.'

Quote:
Their issue is that Lowry is a headcase. And we have seen him shrink in the playoffs.

Quote:
We beat them twice this season without Wall. They are definitely beatable. They don't really present any matchup problems.

If we put some pressure on them they might choke again.

Toronto is the most slept on +8 scoring differential team in NBA history.
Raps in 4. They are going to run roughshod all over this team.

Imagine a coach that is so stupid that he uses all 4 bigs in order to avoid playing small ball in the NBA a In 2018

Quote:
Toronto is getting all the calls, not sure what's up with that.

Quote:
The way raptors are playing I got a feeling one of our players could get hurt.

Quote:
I’ve never hated a human being more than Scott Brooks. This is pathetic

Quote:
Raptors crowd ready to evacuate their colons.

Quote:
Hysterical Raptors fans, do they even understand the game?

Quote:
This sounds like a damn WWE crowd.

Quote:
Lowry and DeRozan were nothing that half. I think we are taking them out and making anyone else beat us. Maybe Brooks deserves some credit for that strategy. Or they just were bad.

Quote:
Yeah we trapped all Lowry Derozan pick and rolls, just like wittman did. Neither of them are good enough passers to make us pay consistently

Quote:
Washington's been pretty disciplined defending DeRozan so far, and Lowry is mostly a self-check completely shrinking out there on the court.

I think they can continue to corral DeRozan, Lowry is the x-factor, doesn't seem like Washington did anything in particular to stop him so far.

Quote:
Lowry grabs and holds on defense on every single possession. He has committed a hundred fouls so far tonight and has been called for 3.

Quote:
Even with the home cooking this game is still tied.

Toronto is no better than Washington.

If this is their best shot they need to be worried!

Quote:
Wizards in 6

Toronto is nowhere near better

Quote:
Down one after 3...

That was a referee assistant third-quarter for the Raptors.

That foul were they awarded it because Ibaka screamed reminded me of the one where Markieff Morris got hit and they didn't even call the foul.

Toronto has been coming over the back with no calls.

Wall has been driving in a little bit fast but they are not awarding the contact with a personal foul on Toronto..

We are down one but the referees are working hard to keep Gortat off the game.

I am glad we're playing Toronto even if we get sweat because the Raptors are no better than the Wizards

I hope the troll last Toronto fans are reading this your team is not that good

Quote:
I like dwane Casey. Class Act of a coach

Quote:
Mike Scott got a flagrant on some b*******..

That's a good foul.

Kyle Lowry is a whiny b****.

That was a basketball play

Quote:
Get ready to hand the ref tonights game ball.

Quote:
What a bs call that was on Scott. He simply can't defend, but there was nothing flagrant about that. Un f'n believably stupid call.

That's the kind of call that should make Wiz rally around.

Quote:
Deron Wright is a baller.

I remember when he came out of Utah I wanted to Wizards to draft him so badly

Quote:
Raps have so many more athletes then we do and depth its starting to catch up.

Quote:
The referees are doing everything they can to give Toronto this game

Quote:
Wright & Siakam 20th & 27th picks, both contributing on rookie contracts and not riding the pine like Smith. & McCullough. Smith will certainly pick-up Ernie's option and come-back for another year of towel-waving.

F*** Canada fans... And especially Kyle Lowry.

Brooks is a dumbass, he should universally be known as “guy that had Westbrook Harden Ibaka Durant Reggie Jackson and Jeff Green and couldn’t win a single championship”

Quote:
Wizards have lost eight straight road games. The team is much better at home but I'm not expecting a win. The Wizards have the personnel to win a few games in this series the rotations have been terrible.

Quote:
We are getting waxed in this series because we can’t stop Toronto at all. We are relying on two scrubs, Morris and Scott, why doesn’t someone ask Brooks about their massive negative on off differential over the season and why he now randomly uses them in the playoffs. Why was Satoransky rewarded with a spot on the bench after his stretch of clearly showing he’s a great NBA player?

Quote:
You absolutely cannot start Gortat and Morris and expect to win. What an idiot.

And my personal opinion:
Quote:
Either the Wizards have no fans or their fans dont know what internet is. So hard to find a Wizards fan forum [frown]

Was going to post Cavs posts.  But their RealGM thread for Game 7 has 6 posts.  So basically they aint saying anything.

Reddit is the thing now.

I think winning game 1 would almost be "series over" for the raptors. The raptors just got over the hump of always losing game 1, and losing game 1 to the king would have all those demons of previous years creep back into their mind. I think at bare minimum our goal HAS to be to come home for game 3 with the series tied 1-1. The raptors are very tough on their home floor cuz their fans go nuts.

Quote:

Any one else feel like this series will be significantly easier than the Pacers’ series?

Quote:

I hate to say it, but I think Raptors are going to take this next series

I'll always believe in Lebron, and ofc I'm going to root for the Cavs. I don't think it's impossible for us to win either. I was extremely confident for this team at the end of the regular season but after this Pacers series I really don't know where this fanbase is getting their confidence from on beating a 60 win team because even the roster that swept the Hawks was playing better

I just can't help but feel a lot of people are using past matchups and are severely underrating this Raptors team. They've had a top 5 offense and defense at several points of the year. They have a great coach. It'd take a major choke-job by Derozan/Lowry for us to win

If we can at least tie the series in the first 2 games, I like our chances. Especially if we head back home 2-0, that'd really tilt them lol

Quote:
definitely think this is a better match up for us. The physicality will definitely be toned down as you said. We're going to get a lot more better looks at open 3's so role players knocking those down will be huge. Stealing home court advantage away from Toronto will be a huge factor. Don't want to come back home down 2-0.

After his game 7 performance, I fully expect to see Tristan start and slide Kevin over to the 4 spot. I think if could have a big impact on Kevin so that he's not getting murdered in the paint and we can get him rolling a little more offensively.

Overall, I expect a very competitive series. My gut says Cavs in six but we may be in for another series that goes the distance.
